Journey with Providence College

Providence College Men’s Soccer embarked on an unforgettable international experience across Lisbon and Porto, blending high-level competition with cultural discovery. Over ten days, the Friars trained at elite facilities such as SL Benfica’s Seixal Academy and Sporting CP’s Alcochete Complex, and played prestigious matches against Sporting CP and FC Porto, testing themselves against two of Europe’s most historic clubs.

The journey also included exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Benfica, Sporting CP, and FC Porto, where players met Portuguese legend Pepe, gaining insight into the professionalism and passion that define Portuguese football. Off the field, the team experienced Portugal’s culture firsthand — exploring Lisbon’s historic landmarks, Porto’s riverside charm, and relaxing on the beaches of Costa da Caparica.

From thrilling games and stadium visits to karting adventures and visits to Fátima, the trip embodied the spirit of FuteTour — connecting the world through soccer while creating lasting memories of teamwork, growth, and international friendship.
