João Serrano
João distinguished himself as a soccer player with Sporting Clube de Portugal and the Portuguese National Team, serving as captain for six years. During his tenure, he competed in prestigious tournaments like the Youth Champions League and European Championship Qualifiers.
Afterwards, he decided to continue to pursue his passion in the USA, as he joined Providence College men’s soccer team, while chasing his undergraduate degree in Business Management. At Providence, he captained the team for two years and his ability to balance athletics and academics earned him multiple accolades throughout the years, including the 2019 Student-Athlete of the Year award, All East Region First Team and Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, highlighting his impact both on and off the field.

Diego is a Portuguese midfielder developed at S.L. Benfica’s Academy, now representing Providence College Men’s Soccer in the BIG EAST Conference. Recognized for his vision and consistency, he has earned multiple All-BIG EAST honors and established himself as a key playmaker for the Friars. Through FuteTour, Diego brings his international experience to inspire and guide the next generation of players, promoting growth and connection through soccer.
Gil Santos
Gil Santos is a former Portuguese footballer who developed at Sporting Clube de Portugal and Deportivo de La Coruña, two of Europe’s top academies. After a successful collegiate career with Providence College Men’s Soccer, where he stood out for his creativity and finishing ability, Gil transitioned from the field to focus on developing others. Through FuteTour, he now channels his professional and international experience into guiding young athletes, helping them grow both as players and as individuals.
Tiago Mendonça
Tiago Mendonça is a former Portuguese midfielder who began his career at S.C. Farense before moving to the United States to play for Providence College Men’s Soccer, where he became one of the program’s most accomplished players. Following his collegiate success, he signed professionally with the New England Revolution organization, competing at the highest level of U.S. soccer. Now retired from playing, Tiago brings his professional experience and leadership to FuteTour, helping young athletes pursue excellence and discover new opportunities through the game.
